O’Connor Group Management Limited has a professional training centre located on site, which is CIEH approved. Our training staff are qualified to the highest standards holding City & Guilds 7307 teaching training certificates plus academic qualifications in their specific subject. All employees are able to secure training to assist in their personal development and ensure those who wish to cross train are able to do so in modern facilities. We offer training courses in many areas which include teaching the legal aspects of transport operations, management and training.

Key Drivers
All Drivers are trained to the highest possible standard with further training in ADR Packages. There are promotional opportunities to Key Driver status which requires the selected Key Driver to perform additional duties in the form of training, supervising and mentoring small teams of the driver fleet. Drivers are continuously assessed through targets on fuel consumption, job targets and vehicle idling time; all Drivers receive vehicle awareness training. Driving licences are checked periodically throughout the year.

Crane Pilots
O’Connor’s support new applicants through their Crane Pilot in-house licence. All Crane Pilots are continuously developed through training and mentoring.
“Flying hours” are logged and trainees are under constant assessment to ensure all health and safety requirements are met and efficiency standards maintained.
